Groundwork London’s Our Space Award is a targeted grant programme (small £500–£2,000; standard £2,000–£5,000) that funds community groups across Greater London to clean and green local open spaces—supporting tree planting, biodiversity, climate resilience, water quality improvements, air-quality benefits, climate education and reduced social isolation—and has distributed c.£717,000 to around 180 projects; included in Part 3: Capital in Action, Chapter ‘Our Financial Vehicles in Action’ as a practical example of modest capital being deployed through grants to enable community-led environmental improvements, stewardship and social co‑benefits.
